The possibility of further promotion of joint energy projects with Turkmenistan was discussed at the meeting the Ambassador of Turkmenistan in Pakistan with Pakistani Minister of State Oil Musadik Masood Malik, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.
In particular, during the meeting the Pakistani Minister of State stressed the need to discuss the possibilities of further promotion of the projects of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) line and the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power (TAP).
The meeting was held within the framework of a seminar dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which was held on May 9 the embassy of Turkmenistan in Islamabad in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Peace and Diplomatic Studies.
The forum was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, prominent politicians, heads of think tanks, businesses and public organizations in Pakistan, heads of diplomatic missions of foreign countries in Islamabad, as well as representatives of local media.
In their speeches, the participants pointed out that in the thirty years between the two countries have established regular political contacts at the level of heads of state, heads of foreign policy departments, developing trade-economic and cultural-humanitarian cooperation.
It was also stressed that the two countries successfully cooperate today, both in bilateral and multilateral format – within the framework of major international organizations.
