Turkmenistan's export potential presented in Istanbul

The exhibition of export goods of Turkmenistan opened in the Istanbul Exhibition Center. The event, which will last from July 2 to 5, has become a clear evidence of the development of bilateral cooperation, actively supported by the heads of state, Orient reports (Orient Link: https://orient.tm/ru/post/87213/turkmenistan-stambul-vystavka-eksport).
After the performance of the anthems of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey, speeches were made emphasizing the enormous potential of Turkmen manufacturers. It was noted that the exhibition will become an effective platform for the exchange of high technologies, innovative developments and best practices.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the Minister of Trade of Turkey Omer Bolat. In his speech, he emphasized the dynamic development of trade and economic relations between the two countries.
"Our main goal is to achieve the target trade volume of 5 billion dollars as soon as possible," Minister Bolat said. He noted that in the first six months of this year, the volume of trade turnover between Turkmenistan and Turkey increased by about 26.3%, reaching $2.2 billion. By the end of the year, this figure is expected to exceed $3 billion.
The Minister also emphasized the desire to maintain a balance in bilateral trade and increase the diversity of products to achieve the ambitious goal set by the presidents of the two countries.
Bolat also announced that the next Turkish Export Exhibition in Ashgabat is scheduled for February 13-15, 2026.
The Minister also touched upon cooperation in the energy sector, highlighting the "Memorandum of Understanding on the Development of Cooperation in the Field of Natural Gas" and the "Declaration of Intent" signed on March 1, 2024. He emphasized that the transportation of Turkmen gas to the European market via Turkey has not only an economic but also a strategic dimension for cooperation between the countries.
The exhibition presents a wide range of high-quality products offered for export. Among them are industrial and agricultural equipment and spare parts, construction materials, household and electronic appliances, household goods, textile products.
The exhibition demonstrates the special importance that Ashgabat attaches to strengthening business cooperation with Turkey. It reflects the work on modernization and diversification of all sectors of the Turkmen national economy, as well as the successful implementation of state programs and innovative projects.
On the first day of the exhibition, numerous bilateral meetings were held, confirming that the development of trade and economic relations is one of the main priorities of Turkmenistan in cooperation with the Republic of Turkey.
