Scientists from the oil and gas research and design Research institute Nebitgazylmytaslama of the State Concern “Turkmennebit” have introduced developments for the purification of formation waters.
Oil contains in its chemical composition resins and paraffin, which over time form solid deposits in the pipes of production wells. As a result, the throughput of the tubing string – pump and compressor pipes – is significantly reduced.
To eliminate such complications, the institute developed and put into production patented inventions, one of which is related to the isolation of formation waters in oil and gas wells. Another development of the institute’s specialists – a method for cleaning asphalt-resinous and paraffin deposits – is of no small importance in increasing the daily flow rate of existing wells in the old Goturdepe and Barsagelmes fields.
As practice shows, the funds spent on the development of scientific inventions and rationalization proposals are fully justified. The efficiency of scientific developments is measured in hundreds of tons of additional oil and cubic meters of extracted hydrocarbons.
The oil and gas industry is a strategic sector of the national economy of Turkmenistan. As part of the implementation of the “State Program for the Development of the Digital Economy in Turkmenistan for 2021–2025,” a complete reconstruction of the Nebitgazylmytaslama building complex in the city of Balkanabat was carried out in order to develop a high-tech and competitive digital economy. Modernization allowed scientists, engineers and technical workers of the institute to expand and strengthen the connection between science and production.
