Turkmenistan's GDP growth in January-October amounted to 6.3%

 Turkmenistan has achieved a stable GDP growth rate over ten months, which increased by 6.3%.  This was announced by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov at a government meeting on November 10, at which the results of the country’s socio-economic development for January-October 2023 were summed up.

 According to the Vice-Chairman, the volume of products produced increased by 6.3% compared to the same period in 2022.  Since the beginning of the year, retail trade turnover has increased by 9.6% compared to the same period last year.  The revenue part of the State budget was fulfilled at the level of 110.7%, and the expenditure part – at 97.8%.

 H. Geldimyradov also noted that wages for large and medium-sized enterprises in the country increased by 9.9% compared to the corresponding period in 2022. Wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships are fully funded in a timely manner.

 The volume of disbursed capital investments from all sources of financing increased by 7.4% compared to the same period last year, the Vice-Chairman noted.

 He also said that as part of the implementation of the National Rural Program, the construction of 53 social facilities, 34 water and wastewater treatment plants, 379.9 thousand square meters of housing, as well as engineering systems was carried out.

 After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated with satisfaction that the results achieved over ten months indicate the stable development of the Turkmen state.

 The President added that the country continues to build large industrial and social facilities.  These include new villages, residential buildings, medical and entertainment centers, schools, kindergartens and many other facilities.  Transformations in the fields of education and science continue successfully, and production sectors are being modernized.

 – There is very little time left until the end of the year.  This means that in the remaining time we must all work hard to meet the next year, 2024, with high performance, - Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
