Representatives of IOGU Take Part in the International Forum in Beijing

The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in an international conference entitled “Towards Carbon Neutrality: Education, Technology, Talents”, timed to coincide with the 70th anniversary of the China University of Petroleum and held in Beijing on October 1-2.

The Forum brought together representatives of national and international energy universities and research institutes. The Turkmen delegation included representatives of Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas (IOGU).

During the Conference, thematic workshops on carbon-neutral educational systems and the prospects of science and technology were held, and aspiring specialists in the field of the development of carbon-neutral systems made their presentations. At the meetings, issues related to achieving carbon neutrality and the prospects of the transition to “green energy” were widely discussed. During the Forum, the IOGU Rector Bayrammyrat Atamanov spoke on the topic “Innovative Technologies, Education and Science in the Oil and Gas Industry of Turkmenistan.”

The International Forum contributed to the exchange of ideas and the enrichment of knowledge and experience among young talents in the field of science, education and technology in global energy to ensure carbon neutrality and the sustainable development of humankind.

Following the meeting in Beijing, Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University and the China University of Petroleum signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of science and education.

The China University of Petroleum is the largest national university under the authority of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China. It is being involved in the Project 211 of national key universities and colleges, aimed at training elite specialists, raising the research standards of high-level universities and developing socioeconomic development strategies.

Y. Kakayev IOGU trains highly qualified specialists, actively participates in the global scientific and educational space and cooperates with prestigious universities and large industry companies around the world.

Cooperation with China is carried out on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Yagshigeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University with the China University of Petroleum and the China National Petroleum Corporation. As part of the partnership, various scientific and educational events are regularly held.
