Chinese President Xi Jinping stated his readiness to maintain close contacts with the President of Turkmenistan to promote the “One Belt, One Road” and “Revival of the Great Silk Road” projects, as well as to deepen energy partnership in a congratulatory message addressed to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the occasion of his birthday.

“Mr. President, on the occasion of your birthday, I express my heartfelt congratulations and best wishes to you,” says Xi Jinping’s message to Serdar Berdimuhamedov, published today in the leading media of Turkmenistan.

“I pay great attention to the development of Chinese-Turkmen relations and am ready to maintain close contacts with you, steadily promoting the strategic integration of the joint construction initiative “One Belt, One Road” with the strategy of Turkmenistan “Revival of the Great Silk Road”, to deepen the energy partnership,” the head of the PRC noted.

Xi Jinping in his letter recalled that in January of this year, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov made a successful visit to China, and in May he visited China again to participate in the China-Central Asia Summit, during which the parties “had a friendly and constructive exchange of views and  “We reached important agreements on bilateral cooperation in key areas, which filled the Chinese-Turkmen strategic partnership with new content.”
