Turkmenistan increased pipeline gas exports to China by 5% in January-August

 Based on the results of January-August 2023, Turkmenistan still maintains leadership among the states supplying pipeline gas to the PRC.  Over the eight months of this year, imports of Turkmen gas in value amounted to $6.63 billion, which is 5% more than the same period last year, reports the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China.

 Second place is occupied by Russia, which exported pipeline gas to China for $4.46 billion. Kazakhstan (a decrease of 2.3%, to $782.91 million) and Uzbekistan (a significant decrease of 40%, to $370) took third and fourth places, respectively up to $370,57 million).

The 63rd meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission of Turkmenistan on the Caspian Sea was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on February 23.
