On September 20, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry opened an exhibition dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan and designed to demonstrate the country’s achievements in the socio-economic sphere. Ministries and departments, state-owned enterprises and agencies, as well as representatives of the country’s private sector presented their stands at the review. Enterprises of the fuel and energy sector of our country also took an active part in the review of economic achievements of Turkmenistan.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in a welcoming address addressed to the forum participants, noted that this large-scale show will be of great importance and, by demonstrating the successes and high achievements of the sovereign Fatherland, will give impetus to our next initiatives and the promotion of new projects.
“Over the years of independence, a huge amount of work has been done aimed at modernizing the country’s national economic complex, increasing the strength of the national economy and the standard of living of the people, and each section of the Exhibition amazes with the scope and success of the modern transformations being carried out in the formation of a unique model of the national economy,” President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
Specialized pavilions, equipped with modern advertising equipment, have been turned into effective platforms for presenting industry achievements and a wide range of competitive and in-demand products.
High-tech equipment, modern building and finishing materials, computer and communication capabilities, achievements in the food industry, success in solving environmental issues, the development of sports and tourism, scientific, human resources, and cultural potential are presented here.
The fuel and energy complex, which is the basic sector of the economy of our country, is presented in an extensive exhibition demonstrating the accelerated pace of development of the industry. Particular emphasis is placed on new export and import-substituting goods from the country’s industrial giants – the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries, as well as samples of oil and gas processing products of the State Concerns “Turkmengas” and “Turkmennebit”.
Industry stands tell about the stages of implementation of grandiose projects – the development of the giant gas field “Galkynysh” and the production of purified commercial gas, the construction of a unique gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India, gas chemical complexes based on the latest technologies for industrial processing of natural gas for the production of polyethylene and polypropylene, as well as high-octane gasoline.
At the stands of the State Corporation “Turkmengeology”, geological exploration maps are presented, where the developed and developed deposits of oil, gas and other minerals are marked.
Electric power industry, which is one of the important sectors of the economy, is widely reflected in the exhibition. Thousands of kilometers of power lines are being modernized. Solar and wind power plants are being built in the Gyzylarbat etrap of the Balkan region. In 2022, with the participation of Arkadag Serdar, a Center for repair and maintenance of power equipment was put into operation in the Buzmeyin etrap. All this strengthens Turkmenistan’s position in the world as a country with enormous potential and exporting electricity to foreign countries.
Layouts and diagrams of modern buildings – centers for repair and maintenance of energy equipment, “green” generating stations – are an excellent opportunity to trace the development trend of Turkmen energy in the near future.
Domestic exhibitors also demonstrated their developments in the field of production of renewable energy sources – solar panels and wind generators.
Enterprises of Turkmenistan are establishing the production of dozens of types of building materials that meet international quality standards. This is illustrated by the stands of the economic society “Derýaplastik”, private enterprises “Berk önüm”, “Ak hünji”, which produce high-quality import-substituting products that are in demand not only in our country, but also abroad. These include hundreds of types of pipes, cables, suspended ceilings, profiles for windows and doors, expanded polystyrene and other polyethylene, polypropylene and polyvinyl chloride products widely used in utilities and construction, produced at fuel and energy complex enterprises.
The exhibition also includeed presentations of industry achievements of the national economy. Thus, a round table was held dedicated to such topics as the environmental policy of Turkmenistan, urban planning, as well as achievements in the oil and gas industry over the years of independence and prospects for its development.
Today the exhibition continues its work. Upon completion, participants will be awarded appropriate diplomas and certificates.
