Two-day visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Tajikistan begins today

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov will make a working visit to the Republic of Tajikistan on September 14-15 to participate in the fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and the next meeting of the Council of Heads of State-founders of the International Fund for Saving the Aral Sea (IFAS).
The Presidents of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan are expected to participate in the summits.
As part of the summit meetings, a number of events will be held in Dushanbe with the participation of delegations from Central Asian countries. Including: a meeting of heads of foreign policy departments, a meeting of transport ministers, Women’s Dialogue, Economic Forum, forums of scientists, university rectors, as well as youth organizations, an exhibition of goods manufacturers, an art exhibition and other cultural events, in which a representative delegation of Turkmenistan also takes part.
Following the results of the fifth Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia, it is planned to sign a package of documents. It is expected that the Joint Statement of the Heads of State of Central Asia will be signed; agreement in the field of land transport; Agreement on general directions of youth policy; regulations on the council of national coordinators for consultative meetings; as well as a roadmap to support the health and well-being of residents of the Central Asian region for 2023-2025.
