At the government meeting, the results of the work of fuel and energy enterprises in January-July were considered

 Last Friday, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who is on leave, held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, at which the reports of the Vice-Chairmen on the results of work for January-July of this year were heard and the priority tasks of the country’s socio-economic development were considered.

 During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the results of the work carried out in the sectors under his supervision in January-July 2023, the achieved technical and economic indicators for the extraction of oil and gas condensate, and the production of polypropylene.

 It was reported that the State Concern “Turkmennebit” fulfilled the plan for providing oil at the level of 101 percent, for oil refining – by 101.5 percent, for the production of gasoline - by 105.1 percent, diesel fuel – by 104.9 percent, and the production of lubricating oils  - by 110.1 percent, liquefied gas – by 108.8 percent.

 The plan for the extraction of natural and associated gas for the period under review was fulfilled by 109 percent, for the export of “blue fuel” – by 114 percent.

 Summing up the report, the head of Turkmenistan focused on the importance of taking measures to increase the production of liquefied gas and polypropylene.  At the same time, emphasis was placed on the need to take practical steps to increase oil production.

 Taking into account the growth in demand for natural gas in the winter period, it is necessary to start preparatory work for the uninterrupted supply of citizens, large industrial enterprises, power plants and foreign consumers with “blue fuel”, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted, addressing a number of specific instructions to the Vice-Chairman.
