Turkmenistan is the largest supplier of jet fuel to Georgia

In January-July this year, Turkmenistan exported 29.6 thousand tons of aviation fuel to Georgia. According to Business Media Georgia with reference to the Union of Petroleum Products Importers of Georgia, this is 44.1% of the total volume of aviation fuel imports to Georgia in seven months of 2023.
Over this period, the total volume of aviation fuel imports to Georgia amounted to 67.1 thousand tons, which is 0.7% less than in the same period in 2022.
Other jet fuel suppliers to Georgia include Azerbaijan (17.3 thousand tons), Greece (10.3 thousand tons), Turkey (6.7 thousand tons), Malta (3.2 thousand tons).
It is noteworthy that in October 2022, the Turkmen delegation held talks in Tbilisi on simplifying the procedures for the transit of Turkmen oil products and increasing their volumes, as well as on the import of Turkmen oil products and the joint implementation of infrastructure projects related to the processing and storage of oil products.
