Opportunities for expanding cooperation in the fields of energy, transport and transit between Turkmenistan and Iran were discussed

 The possibilities of expanding cooperation in the fields of energy, transport and transit were discussed at a meeting between Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov and an Iranian delegation headed by Minister of Cooperation, Labor and Social Security Soulat Mortazavi.  This is reported by the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

 R. Meredov spoke in favor of increasing the volume of mutual trade and economic ties between the two countries in the context of regional integration.

 As part of the discussion of the development of trade and economic cooperation, the positive dynamics of the growth of trade between the countries was emphasized.  In order to further realize the existing potential, the parties noted the importance of giving impetus to increasing the volume of mutual trade.

 Attention was also paid to the work of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Iranian commission for economic cooperation.

 During the meeting, the parties noted the high level of cooperation between the two countries, which has developed in recent years based on rich experience and the principles of equality, good neighborliness and mutual respect.

 The parties also stressed the importance of high-level meetings, in particular, a constructive and trusting dialogue between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran in the development of bilateral friendly relations.

Turkmenistan exported natural gas worth $ 6.1 billion to China in January-November

Turkmenistan continues to hold a leading position in pipeline export of «blue» fuel to China. According to the General Customs Administration of the PRC, during January-November 2021, the Celestial Empire received 21.91 million tons of Turkmen natural gas through the Turkmenistan-China pipeline, which is $ 6.1 billion in monetary terms.

The volume of purchases of Turkmen gas by Gazprom will double in 2021, - Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan

In 2021, the volume of gas purchased by Gazprom from Turkmenistan is likely to double and amount to about 10 billion cubic meters. This was stated on Friday by the Russian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Alexander Blokhin at a press conference at the embassy dedicated to the annual results of the Turkmen-Russian cooperation.
