The Results of the Work of the Oil and Gas Industry in 2022 Summed up at the Sectoral Meeting

In the Central Building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, a reporting meeting devoted to the results of the work done in 2022, proclaimed the year “The Era of the People with Arkadag”, was held. The meeting also discussed the tasks set before the oil and gas industry by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov at an extended sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of the country’s socioeconomic development in 2022.
Opening the reporting meeting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Ashyrguly Begliyev emphasized that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov had great confidence in the workers of the oil and gas industry, and the state regularly provided support for the improvement of the activities of the domestic fuel and energy complex.
In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister urged those present to continue making efforts to justify the trust placed by the head of state and making a worthy contribution to the achievements of our country through hard work.
During the meeting, reports on the results of the work done for 2022 were made by the State Minister of Turkmenistan–Chairman of the Türkmengaz State Concern Batyr Amanov, the Chairman of the Türkmennebit State Concern Guvanch Agajanov, the Chairman of the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation Merdan Roziyev, the Director General of the CJSC Turkmen National Oil and Gas Company Merdan Pirliyev and heads of associations, directorates, organizations and enterprises of the complex.
At the reporting meeting, an exchange of views on the issues of the uninterrupted supply of natural gas to the population and production facilities, the study of ways and methods of using alternative energy sources both in households and in industry and the development of the national economy by diversifying through reducing dependence on energy resources, further improving and withdrawing to a new level of work, carried out in this direction jointly with large oil and gas companies of foreign countries, widely using the capabilities of the digital system and introducing it into production took place.
During the meeting, speeches containing information on the technical and economic indicators achieved in the country in the field of oil and gas condensate production, relevant work aimed at reliable supply of natural gas to domestic and foreign consumers, the intensification of the work on the industrialization of the Galkynyş gas field and the attraction of foreign companies for the exploration and development of oil and gas fields in the Turkmen sector of the Caspian Sea were also heard. Issues regarding the progress of the TAPI gas pipeline project were also raised.
At the end of the reporting meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Ashyrguly Begliyev focused on the need for the successful implementation of the important tasks set by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for 2023, proclaimed as the year “Happy Youth with Arkadag Serdar”, on the further development of the oil and gas industry, one of the leading sectors of the national economy. The Vice-Premier also outlined the specific tasks facing the Türkmengaz State Concern, the Türkmennebit State Concern, the Türkmengeologiýa State Corporation and the CJSC Turkmen National Oil and Gas Company.
