Representatives of the Maritime and River Transport Agency of Turkmenistan held video conference talks with Dragon Oil (UAE) last week, during which issues of further expansion of cooperation were discussed. This is reported by the website of the Agency «Turkmendenizderyayollary».
As noted during the meeting, close cooperation with Dragon Oil in the field of maritime transport has been carried out for many years, which is a good basis for further expanding mutually beneficial partnership.
During the meeting, representatives of Dragon Oil got acquainted with the projects aimed at developing the maritime transport system, the national merchant marine fleet of our country, which are carried out under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan, and were also informed about the main directions of the program for the development of maritime transport in Turkmenistan.
Emphasizing that Dragon Oil, as part of its work on the territory of our country, widely uses the services of maritime transport, and also taking into account the important role of projects aimed at the development of the national fleet of Turkmenistan in the development of the transport system and in expanding international cooperation in the field of transport and transit logistics system , it was proposed to consider the possibility of investing in shipbuilding projects.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in developing mutually beneficial long-term cooperation and noted that they would make efforts to expand partnerships.
