Decree of the President of Turkmenistan declared January 2 a non-working day

January 2, 2023 is declared a non-working day in Turkmenistan. The corresponding Decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was published in the central media of the country.
As noted in the Decree, “In order to create favorable conditions for the solemn celebration of the New Year and a good rest for the population, as well as in accordance with part 2 of article 81 of the Labor Code of Turkmenistan, I decide to postpone the day off on January 1, 2023 to January 2 – Monday”.
The document also instructs «all institutions, enterprises and organizations, regardless of their form of ownership, to ensure the implementation of this decree».
