Turkmenistan and the UAE intend to step up efforts in the areas of fuel and energy complex, chemical industry and renewable energy

 Turkmenistan and the UAE intend to increase joint efforts in the oil and gas, oil refining, chemical industries and renewable energy.  This is stated in the Joint Statement of Turkmenistan and the United Arab Emirates, signed on Monday following the talks of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov with the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

 “The parties, noting the importance of interaction in the economic sphere, expressed their desire to strengthen economic cooperation, taking into account mutual interests, discussed prospects in this direction, and also announced their intention to increase joint efforts in such priority areas as oil and gas, oil refining, chemical industry and renewable energy ”, the Joint Statement notes.

 «The parties will assist entrepreneurs of the two states in the implementation of joint projects in order to strengthen the investment partnership,» the document says.

 “The parties stated the important role of transport communications in enhancing bilateral economic cooperation and, in this regard, stressed the need for interaction between the international ports of Turkmenistan and the UAE, the Joint Statement says.

 The document also notes that the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited the President of the United Arab Emirates to pay an official visit to Turkmenistan.  The invitation was accepted with gratitude.

 Also, following the talks in an expanded format in the presence of the heads of state of Turkmenistan and the UAE, bilateral documents were signed aimed at strengthening cooperation in the economic, investment, agricultural, educational and other fields, as well as through the foreign ministries.
