The President of Turkmenistan: it is necessary to create new production facilities, additional jobs

Last Thursday, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system, at which draft documents and a number of issues were considered. Among the priority topics was the creation of new jobs in the country.
On this issue, the head of state heard reports from the vice-premiers in charge of the relevant sectors of the national economy. Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Shakhym Abdrakhmanov reported on the activities to create new enterprises and provide jobs in the oil and gas complex.
The report provided information on the number of enterprises, facilities of the industry and the commissioning of new ones, as well as on staff positions and the creation of additional jobs in the fuel and energy complex.
Summing up the report, the head of state drew the attention of the Vice-Chairman to the importance of implementing comprehensive measures to maximize the use of production capacities of the fuel and energy complex and create new jobs.
Summing up the results of the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that in January-April of this year, 492 new business entities were registered, 1,662 new jobs were opened in the regions.
As the head of state mentioned, work is being successfully carried out to increase the production capacities of industries and sustainable development of the regions, improve the social and living conditions of the population. The state allocates huge funds for this.
“Despite the fact that the leaders of the industries are doing some work, there is still a lot to be done in the industries and regions, to take urgent measures, in a word, we face many tasks,” the head of state emphasized.
As noted, based on world experience, it is necessary to use natural resources efficiently, significantly increase the competitiveness of the national economy, develop small and medium-sized businesses and create a favorable business environment.
- It is necessary to make efforts to increase the investment activity of industries, to carry out fruitful work on the wide attraction of domestic and foreign investments, - the President of the country continued.
Turkmen wisdom says: «Labor is a source of wealth.» Therefore, our main task is the effective development of investments in industries in order to create new industries, additional jobs in cities and villages and in the most remote corners of the country. All conditions must be created so that people can work conscientiously and with enthusiasm. We must continue to take care of improving the well-being of our people, the head of state concluded.
