Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran have agreed to step up bilateral partnership

The possibility of stepping up the bilateral partnership in view of the existing prospects and contemporary realities discussed the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Iran, during a telephone conversation on Tuesday on the initiative of the Iranian side, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
At the beginning of the conversation Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Seyed Ebrahim Raisi exchanged warm greetings on the occasion of Oraza Bayram, as well as the wishes of good health, prosperity, peace and prosperity to the Turkmen and Iranian peoples.
In the course of the conversation the sides discussed topical issues on the bilateral agenda and further joint measures to strengthen the friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation.
Noting that this year the neighboring countries celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, the interlocutors stressed that over the years the Turkmen-Iranian partnership actively to expand and improve across the spectrum, including political, diplomatic, trade-economic, cultural -gumanitarnoy and other areas.
Noting the positive nature of the Turkmen-Iranian trade and economic contacts, heads of state stressed that great importance is attached to effective operation of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.
Speaking about the importance of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, the sides called for expansion of partnership in the field of science and education, culture and art in the field of sport.
The Heads of States emphasized that will continue to make every effort to intensify bilateral cooperation in priority areas for the benefit of the Turkmen and Iranian peoples.
