President Serdar Berdimuhamedov outlined the key directions for the development of Turkmenistan

On Saturday, March 19, the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Turkmenistan was held at the Rukhyet Palace, during which Serdar Berdimuhamedov took the oath and took office as head the state.
Then the new President made a speech in which he outlined the key directions and tasks for the further development of our state.
Our main goal is to ensure the stability and security of the Motherland, improve the living standards of the people, strengthen peace and mutual trust throughout the planet, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said in his speech.
In this regard, he stressed that the path to achieving these grandiose goals was specifically outlined in the National Program adopted at the historic meeting of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesh, which is focused on the prosperity of the Motherland in the coming 30 years. This Program, prepared on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, was named «Revival of a new era of a powerful state: the National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan in 2022-2052».
Our state will fully fulfill its international obligations in accordance with the UN Charter, existing bilateral and multilateral international treaties, agreements and conventions, the President continued.
In this regard, our country will consistently strengthen cooperation with the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Asian and Islamic Development Banks, as well as with other international financial and economic institutions, the head of state said.
We are open to all countries and peoples of the world and are aimed at developing trade, economic, cultural, humanitarian, scientific and educational ties with them in the future, Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted.
Among the main tasks, the President identified the provision of constitutional guarantees for the protection of the rights of citizens, strengthening the social and legal protection of the population.
Our state will always focus on the measures taken to increase wages, pensions, student scholarships and state benefits. We will continue to improve state support for families with many children. Providing each family with modern housing will be one of my main concerns, Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized.
Among the key areas in the economy, the head of state called the development of the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan and its integration into the international energy system. Serdar Berdimuhamedov also put forward as his goal the minimization of the negative impact of climate change and industry on the environment and human health, and the reduction of emissions.
Ensuring the country's food abundance is one of the most important tasks, the President continued.
The power industry will also receive investment support from the state, both in terms of export diversification and in the development of renewable energy sources, including solar energy.
The transport and logistics sector was also named among the most important areas of work, which should connect the regional and continental routes of the Great Silk Road with the maximum use of geographical and other competitive advantages.
The government should also focus on digitalization and support for entrepreneurship, especially technology enterprises, science and culture, education, the healthcare system and the medical industry, sports, Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
