Voting in the elections of the President of Turkmenistan will be broadcast online

 Voting at polling stations for the upcoming March 12 presidential elections in Turkmenistan will be broadcast online on the website «saylav.gov.tm» of the Central Election Commission.

 In addition, information about the presidential elections will be broadcast live on national television and radio.

 This was reported on Thursday at a joint meeting of the government and the State Security Council of the country, which discussed preparations for early elections of the President of Turkmenistan.

 At the invitation of the Turkmen side, the Mission of Observers from the Commonwealth of Independent States arrived in our country.  In addition, observers from the Organization of Turkic States, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as well as from a number of neighboring countries, are expected to participate in the upcoming important socio-political campaign.

 During the joint meeting, the head of state stressed that the upcoming March 12 presidential elections in Turkmenistan are an important social and political event in the life of our country.  In this regard, the head of state instructed the meeting participants to hold these elections in an organized manner, on the principles of openness, transparency, democracy, competitiveness and freedom.

 On the day of the elections of the President of Turkmenistan, March 12, performances of popular singers, bakhshi musicians and creative groups are planned at all polling stations.

 President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov instructed, in accordance with the national traditions of the Turkmen people, to organize musical and song performances at all polling stations on election day, emphasizing the importance of these events in familiarizing international observers with the national cultural heritage.

 During the joint meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov announced that the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected President of Turkmenistan would take place on March 19 at the Oguzhan Palace Complex.
