Three more candidates nominated for the post of President of Turkmenistan

 On Monday, the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of our country (PIET), as well as initiative groups of citizens of Dashoguz region and Ashgabat, nominated their candidates for the post of President of Turkmenistan in the upcoming elections in March, TDH reports.

 In particular, at the Extraordinary III Congress of the PIET, Babamyrat Meredov, director of the «Wepaly Gurlushyk» Economic Society, was nominated as a candidate for the post of President of the country.

 At the meeting, an initiative group from Ashgabat nominated Hydyr Nunnaev, vice-rector for scientific work of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, candidate of pedagogical sciences, as a candidate for the highest state post.

 The candidate for the post of President of Turkmenistan from the initiative group of the Dashoguz region was nominated by the chairman of the committee of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan of the district named after Saparmurat Turkmenbashi Maksat Odeshov.

 Also on Monday, a regular meeting of the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums was held, at which candidates for the highest state post nominated by the initiative groups of citizens of the Akhal and Mary velayats, as well as the Party of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, were registered.

 In particular, applicants for the presidency of the country were registered as the head of the sanitary and epidemiological service of Babadaykhan etrap of the Akhal region Maksatmyrat Ovezgeldiev, director of the research and production center «Renewable Energy Sources» of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan Kakageldi Sariyev and director of the Economic Society «Wepaly gurlushyk» Babamyrat Meredov.

 As known, early elections of the President of Turkmenistan will be held on March 12.  Since February 14, candidates for the highest state post in our country have been nominated and registered.

Since the opening of the transnational Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline in 2009, over 320 billion cubic meters of Turkmen gas have been exported to the Celestial Empire. General director of the branch of the National Petroleum Corporation of China (CNPC) Chen Huailong stated this, the Watan news program of the Turkmen television reported.

Modern Information and Analytical Center for sustainable energy development has been opened in Turkmenistan

Today, March 26, the grand opening of the Information and Analytical Center was held at the Natural Gas Research Institute of the State Concern "Turkmengas". The center is equipped with the latest IT equipment purchased with the support of the European Union project "Green Development of Turkmenistan: Policy Dialogue and Climate Action for 2024-2028", funded by the European Union and the German Foreign Ministry and implemented by GIZ.
