The minister, in particular, said that the project of this innovative facility, which will be located on the territory of the artificial lake «Altyn Asyr», was developed by the research and production center of the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan.  Electricity on it will be generated exclusively from renewable energy sources.

The construction of the new power plant is provided for by the Action Plan for the implementation of the Concept for the development of the Turkmen Lake region «Altyn Asyr» in 2019-2025.

The minister also reported to the head of state on the plans to transfer the Akhal and Dashoguz power plants to combined management and on the construction of the Center for the repair and maintenance of power equipment in the Buzmeyin district of Ashgabat with a total area of over 29 thousand square meters.

The advantage of combined power plants is their high performance without additional costs of natural gas and environmental friendliness.
