Gas utility workers in Gubadag etrap — a structural unit of the «Daşoguzgazüpjünçilik» administration known as «Gubadagetrapgaz» — are carrying out major repairs and modernization of gas pipelines and gas-regulating equipment. The work is timed to the upcoming 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence and is regarded as a labor contribution to the occasion.

The unified gas system of Gubadag etrap includes more than 14,150 kilometers of gas pipelines of various diameters and pressures, as well as over 450 units of gas-regulating and gas-distribution equipment. Since the start of the year, inspection, restoration, and major repair of gas pipelines have been carried out under an approved plan in the city of Gubadag and seven geneshliks: Bereketli, Amyderýa, Abadanlyk, Gökçäge, Baýdak, Bitarap Turkmenistan, and Ýaşlyk.

Painting, repair, and preparation for the autumn-winter season have already been completed on a medium-pressure gas pipeline with a diameter of 219 millimeters running from the Abadanlyk geneshlik to the Amyderya geneshlik, a 273-millimeter pipeline from the Baýdak geneshlik to the village of Ýekederek in the Gökýaýla geneshlik, and a medium-pressure pipeline with a diameter of 159 millimeters in the Bitarap Turkmenistan geneshlik.

Seasonal inspection, painting, and replacement of supports are currently underway on 89- and 114-millimeter gas pipelines in the Gökýaýla geneshlik. The work involves repair fitters Serdar Baynazarov, Merdan Yegelekov, Noker Sapargylyjov, Hemra Erkayev, and Penji Yusupov, as well as electric welders Erkebay Tajibayev and Dovletnazar Nepesov — employees of the outdoor gas pipelines and gas-regulating equipment service at «Gubadagetrapgaz».

Atamyrat Gurbannazarov, foreman of the outdoor gas pipelines and gas-regulating equipment service at Gubadagetrapgaz, said the repair and preventive maintenance carried out during summer are designed to ensure uninterrupted operation of the gas system in the autumn-winter period. He noted that the work has proceeded under the approved plan since the start of the year in the city of Gubadag and the seven geneshliks listed above.

Earlier, «Gubadagetrapgaz» employees, together with staff of the Dashoguz velayat branch of the construction and installation directorate for gasification under the «Türkmenýöritenebitgazgurnama» trust, carried out gasification of new settlements — Weliýap in the Gubadag geneshlik, Gumoba in the Bereketli geneshlik, and Gumlyoba in the Abadanlyk geneshlik — in line with national programs for gasifying new facilities and areas of the etrap.
