The government meeting summed up the fuel and energy complex’s performance over the past seven months

On August 1, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held via the digital system a regular sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers to review the work performed in the country over the first seven months of this year, TDH reports.
During the sitting, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Guvanch Agajanov reported on the work accomplished from January to July 2026 to increase oil and gas production and to expand supply routes to global markets.
As reported, during this period, the Türkmennebit State Concern fulfilled its oil production plan by 108.7 per cent, and its refineries fulfilled its processing plan by 105.5 per cent.
The gasoline production plan was fulfilled at the level of 121.6 per cent, diesel fuel at 113.5 per cent, polypropylene at 100.2 per cent, lubricants at 103 per cent, liquefied gas at 122.6 per cent and natural and associated gas production at 108.1 per cent.
Summarizing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized the need to further increase natural gas and oil production and to properly develop hydrocarbon fields. The head of state also instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to consistently expand the production capacity of the complex’s enterprises.
Transactions for the export of LNG and jet fuel were entered at exchange trading
On Monday, August 22, 12 transactions were concluded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan for a total of $5.4 million, the ORIENT news agency reported.
It is planned to increase hydrocarbon production in Balkan region
In the Balkan region, a key region in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan, it is planned to increase natural gas production to 11 billion cubic meters per year by 2025. The head of the Department for Analysis of Economic Risks of the Agency for Protection from Economic Risks under the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, Hangeldi Gurbangeldiev, said this in a commentary for the official Turkmen press.

Today, March 26, the grand opening of the Information and Analytical Center was held at the Natural Gas Research Institute of the State Concern "Turkmengas".
