President of Turkmenistan: First-half indicators confirm successful implementation of state programs

At an expanded government meeting, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the country's indicators for the first six months confirm the successful implementation of adopted state programs, TDH reports.
During the reporting period, GDP growth was 6.3%. In accordance with the "Program for the Socioeconomic Development of Turkmenistan and the Investment Program for 2026," the country invested 18.6 billion manat during the reporting period, a 4.3% increase compared to the same period last year, the President said.
A total of 309,000 square meters of housing have been commissioned in the country's velayats, cities, and etraps. Construction of industrial facilities, new settlements, schools, kindergartens, and other buildings is proceeding as planned.
Over the past six months, the country's economy has developed steadily. The Turkmen leader continued that efforts were underway to establish new enterprises producing various competitive, high-quality goods.
The president added that "necessary work was underway to achieve economic and financial stability and increase employment. The country's export potential is growing, and digital technologies are being widely implemented in industries."
Concluding his speech, the head of state noted that overall, the country's indicators for the first half of the year were satisfactory.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the heads of all ministries and industry agencies to hold meetings on July 11 to review the six-month results.
He permitted executives, with the exception of the agricultural sector and the heads of velayats, to take vacations starting August 1 and spend their time in the country's sanatoriums and the Avaza National Tourist Zone.
Transactions for the export of LNG and jet fuel were entered at exchange trading
On Monday, August 22, 12 transactions were concluded at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan for a total of $5.4 million, the ORIENT news agency reported.
