A system for advanced training for oil and gas industry specialists is actively developing in the Mary velayat. The training unit of the Turkmengas State Concern's training center, operating at the Mary Secondary Vocational School of Oil and Gas, has quickly become an important platform for the professional development of industry workers.

The unit offers short, two-week courses in advanced training, retraining, and certification and rank assignment for blue-collar workers. In the 2025-2026 academic year alone, 738 employees of the country's oil and gas companies received training here.

Classrooms are equipped with modern equipment, interactive whiteboards, visual aids, and a model of the country's largest gas field, Galkynysh. Video materials and modern digital technologies are actively used in the educational process.

Particular attention is paid to the practical training of drilling industry specialists. Course participants study the geological and technical features of the Galkynysh field and become familiar with modern drilling technologies, equipment from the Japanese company Sumitomo, and high-tech underground systems from the United States.

The training center also includes a technical safety and occupational health room, where specialists can improve their knowledge of industrial safety and the proper operation of equipment.

Classes are taught by experienced instructors and oil and gas industry specialists with many years of experience. In addition to theoretical courses, training is conducted directly at the companies' production facilities.

The work of the training department contributes to the professional development of employees in Turkmenistan's oil and gas industry and the introduction of modern technologies into the industry.
