The role of women in the development of the oil and gas industry and society: a thematic meeting was held in Ashgabat

A conference dedicated to the celebration of women and their multifaceted contribution to the development of the country took place in the central building of the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan. The Forum was organized by the Central Council of Women of Turkmenistan together with the primary female organizations of the state concerns Turkmengas, Turkmennebit and the State Corporation "Turkmengeology".
The event was attended by employees of the structural subdivisions of the complex, as well as teachers and students of the Yagshygeldi Kakaev International Oil and Gas University. During the speeches, it was emphasized that a comprehensive increase in the status of women in society, respect for mothers and support for the younger generation are the priority areas of the state strategy implemented by the national leader of the Turkmen people, the Hero-Arkadag and the President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
Participants discussed in detail the issues of ensuring women's rights, maternal and child health, gender equality, and strengthening the role of women in public administration, science and education. Particular attention was paid to the improvement of family culture, the harmonious education of young people in the spirit of patriotism and the preservation of the continuity of national traditions. The conference also considered the opportunities created in the country to support motherhood and childhood in the current year, under the motto “Independent, Neutral Turkmenistan – The Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses”. Participants noted the high efficiency of the state's humane policy and the effectiveness of the international partnership with UN agencies, including UNESCO and UNICEF.
At the end of the meeting, reports were made on large-scale achievements and the dynamic development of the oil and gas industry, which became possible thanks to the successful continuation of the creative initiatives of the Hero-Arkadag by the President of Turkmenistan.
