On October 15, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Jeong Won-ju, Chairman of the Board of the Korean company Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd., TDH reports.
The businessman noted that he was honored to participate in the groundbreaking ceremony for the mineral fertilizer production complex at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant. Expressing gratitude for the trust placed in him, he reaffirmed his company's commitment to the successful fulfillment of its contractual obligations.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized his high regard for the relations established between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea. As noted, the interstate partnership is consistently developing on the basis of mutual respect, trust, and understanding.
For many years, leading Korean companies have been implementing large-scale projects in Turkmenistan's oil, gas, and chemical industries, making a significant contribution to the development of bilateral economic cooperation. In this context, the effective nature of the cooperation established with Daewoo was noted.
The country's chemical industry is currently one of the steadily developing sectors, said the President of Turkmenistan, emphasizing that the primary development strategy for this segment is the production of products for the national economy and export-oriented goods using local raw materials.
The head of state also noted that the country is undertaking significant work to modernize and diversify the economy, and that major production projects are being implemented within the framework of state programs.
The businessman emphasized that the company he heads is honored to contribute to the implementation of Turkmenistan's socio-economic programs. In this regard, the guest expressed gratitude to the head of state for the favorable conditions created for the company's operations in the Turkmen market.
At the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan wished the leadership and employees of Daewoo great success in implementing the project to build a mineral fertilizer production complex at the Turkmenabat Chemical Plant.
