Turkmenistan's oil and gas sector held a forum to mark the anniversary of the country's neutrality

The country's oil and gas sector hosted a conference titled "Initiatives of Neutral Turkmenistan – for the Benefit of Common Prosperity." Employees of the State Concerns Turkmengas, Turkmennebit, and the State Corporation Turkmengeology participated in the forum, chaired by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov. The conference featured Vice-Chairman Batyr Amanov, State Minister of Turkmenistan and Chairman of the SC Turkmengas Maksat Babayev, Chairman of the SC Turkmennebit Guvanch Agajanov, Chairman of the SC Turkmengeology Gurbangeldy Garlyev, as well as Ayna Baimuradova, PhD candidate at the Institute of History and Archaeology of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, Parahat Myatiev, Director of the Training Center of the SC Turkmengas, Gulalek Yuzbashieva, Chief Specialist of the International Cooperation and Investment Projects Department of the Foreign Economic Relations Department of the SC Turkmengas, and Derya Atajanov, Specialist of the Material and Technical Resources and Supply Department of the SC Turkmengeology.

As noted, Turkmenistan's initiatives and efforts in the international arena during the International Year of Peace and Trust are based on the values ​​of permanent neutrality. This is evidenced by the address of the President of Turkmenistan at the plenary session of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, which took place during the head of state's recent working visit to New York, USA. To achieve universal goals, it is necessary to ensure peace between countries and trust between peoples. Strengthening peace, goodwill, and trust serves as the foundation for achieving sustainable development. The policy of neutrality pursued by our state is based on these values. Turkmen neutrality embodies the noble principles of our people, such as equality and mutual respect.

The conference emphasized that the President's historic address at the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, Turkmenistan's priorities are supported by workers in the oil and gas industry, and that every initiative and proposal put forward by the head of state from the UN podium are of global significance and take into account the pressing challenges of the present and future.

Songs and musical numbers performed by artists from the Cultural and Business Center of the SC Turkmengas lent a celebratory atmosphere to the event. At the end of the conference, an Appeal was adopted to the esteemed President on behalf of workers in the oil and gas industry.

The President of Turkmenistan signed a Resolution, allowing the Chamber of Commerce and Industry to enter into a contract with the “Söwda öýi” enterprise for the design and construction of the National Pavilion of Turkmenistan for participation in the international exhibition EXPO-2023, which will be held in Doha (Qatar) from October 2, 2023 to March 28, 2024 under the motto “Green nature for the benefit of the environment”.
