A scientific and practical conference entitled "The Role of Research and Development in the Oil and Gas Industry in the Years of Independence" was held at the Scientific Research Institute of Natural Gas of the State Concern “Turkmengas”. Scientists and young industry professionals participated in the forum, organized by the NIIPG trade union.
The conference featured opening remarks by the Institute Deputy Director for Geology Rahmetnur Aymammedov and the Chairman of the trade union's primary organization Murad Bayramgylyjov. They spoke about the development of the oil and gas industry in our country thanks to the efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen People and the Esteemed President, the important role of science in the development of the oil and gas industry, a fundamental sector of the national economy, and discussed in detail the key decisions made at the meeting of the Halk Maslahaty (People's Council) of Turkmenistan.
Department heads, laboratory and sector heads, and research associates from the Natural Gas Research Institute also presented their reports. During the forum, reports were heard from research fellows of the Research Institute of Petroleum Gas Production Jennet Jumahanova, Gurbangul Niyazova, Guljemal Mammedova, Hatyja Chopanova, Adyl Khamedov and Lale Atayeva. They presented a research and analytical works on the geological and geophysical substantiation of the search for hydrocarbon accumulations in the mountains, in particular, within the Unguz gas-bearing region, the development of oil well No. 01, which is proposed to be drilled on the inter-structural slope of the South Gamyshlyja and Nebitlije fields located in the Gogerendag-Ekerem zone, as well as on methods of processing and cleaning associated formation waters, studying the geological structure of the Hazarly field, searching for gas condensate deposits in Jurassic sediments, oil residues, the possibilities of their use or implementation, increasing the efficiency of surfactants used in the development of wells, methods of using Flooded wells.
At the conclusion of the scientific and practical conference, the organizers presented commemorative gifts to employees who distinguished themselves through their diligent work.
