The President of Turkmenistan and the Crown Prince of Kuwait discussed opportunities to expand interstate relations

During a working visit to the United States on September 23, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah, TDH reports.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening equal dialogue with the State of Kuwait.
The interlocutors noted the significant opportunities for expanding interstate relations in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres.
They emphasized that cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kuwait is developing effectively both bilaterally and within the UN and other international organizations.
The interlocutors identified the fuel and energy, transport, and communications sectors as promising areas for expanding bilateral cooperation. "Turkmenistan's advantageous geographic location and rich natural resources create the conditions for the development of major projects at the international level. We can cooperate in creating transport and transit corridors in the East-West and North-South directions, as well as in implementing major energy projects such as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline," said Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The two leaders also noted opportunities to increase mutual export and import potential, develop mutual trade, and strengthen economic cooperation. In this regard, the usefulness of holding bilateral consultations and exhibitions was emphasized.
The President of Turkmenistan also noted prospects for cooperation in the cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational, sports, and tourism spheres, confirming his readiness to consider specific proposals from the Kuwaiti side. Emphasizing that, in accordance with the UN General Assembly Resolution, 2025, declared at Turkmenistan's initiative as the "International Year of Peace and Trust," coincides with the 30th anniversary of the country's permanent neutrality, the head of state invited the Crown Prince to participate in the International Forum, which will be held on December 12 in Ashgabat.
Thanking for the invitation, Sheikh Sheikh noted the importance of Turkmenistan's foreign policy, based on positive neutrality, in strengthening peace in the region and throughout the world.
Concluding the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the Crown Prince of Kuwait expressed confidence that interstate relations will continue to develop across a wide range of areas.
