The expanded government meeting discussed the results of the fuel and energy sector for six months

On July 11, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, where the results of the work for six months of the current year were summed up, the implementation of the country's socio-economic development programs and personnel issues were considered. The reports of the Vice-Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, a number of heads and hyakims of the regions were also heard, TDH reports.

During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the results of the work done in January-June 2025 to increase oil and gas production and expand their supply routes to world markets.

Having reported on the technical and economic indicators achieved in the field of oil and gas condensate production, the Vice-Chairman said that the State Concern "Turkmennebit" fulfilled the oil production plan at 110 percent. The Concern's oil refineries have fulfilled the oil refining plan at 109 percent.

During the specified period, the plan for gasoline production was fulfilled at 110.3 percent, diesel fuel - 101.8 percent, polypropylene - 100 percent, lubricating oils - 116.8 percent.

Information was also provided on the technical and economic indicators of liquefied gas production, natural and associated gas production, and supplies of "blue fuel" abroad.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that the key tasks are the development of the oil and gas sector, diversification of natural gas exports to world markets.

In this regard, the head of state instructed to continue work on the introduction of the latest scientific achievements and innovative technologies to increase the production capacity of the complex's enterprises.

An order was also given to carry out geological exploration work, constantly improve activities in the exploration of oil and gas fields, oil and gas production, take comprehensive measures aimed at selling hydrocarbon resources and products obtained from their processing on world markets, and continue the production of competitive and environmentally friendly products by strengthening the material and technical base of the oil and gas complex.
