As part of the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan led by Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov to Azerbaijan on July 3, a meeting was held with the Acting Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Afghanistan for Economic Affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports on its website (https://www.mfa.gov.tm/ru/news/5379).
The interlocutors discussed current issues of political, diplomatic and trade and economic cooperation.
As the Ministry of Foreign Affairs notes, special attention was paid to energy and transport and communications cooperation.
In this regard, the issues of construction of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan - India (TAPI), power lines and fiber-optic communication along the Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan (TAP) route were touched upon.
