Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited Masoud Pezeshkian to visit Turkmenistan

Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Turkmenistan to participate in the International Forum of Peace and Trust.
As reported by TDH, this invitation was voiced during a telephone conversation between Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Masoud Pezeshkian, during which the parties discussed promising areas for the development of trade and economic cooperation.
The head of the Halk Maslahaty noted that the International Forum of Peace and Trust will be held in Ashgabat on December 12, 2025, with the participation of leaders of many countries.
During the days of the Forum, events will be held to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted and invited President Masoud Pezeshkian to the International Forum of Leaders and festive celebrations.
It was emphasized that the participation of the head of the Iranian government would have a significant impact on the level of the upcoming events.
During the conversation, it was noted that Turkmenistan and Iran cooperate in key areas of the global agenda - peace and security, sustainable development, ecology and others. In this regard, it was proposed to consistently continue the targeted interstate dialogue.
Having announced that an official invitation would be sent soon, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov proposed considering holding joint thematic events.
The head of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan also announced Ashgabat's support for organizing consultations between the foreign ministries of the two states and proposed sending the country's foreign minister on a visit to Iran in the coming days.
Focusing on bilateral relations, Hero Arkadag emphasized the priority areas of cooperation that were discussed during his working visit to Iran in August 2024 and subsequently in Ashgabat - at the talks during the visit of President Masoud Pezeshkian in October of the same year.
