Ashgabat is ready to further develop partnership with Bishkek in the energy sector, expand and diversify it. This was stated by the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in a telephone conversation with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, TDH reports.

Noting the mutually beneficial and fruitful cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed the readiness of the Turkmen side to further develop partnership in this area, expand and diversify it, the news agency writes.

During the conversation, it was also noted that bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan are on the rise today. Contacts are carried out on a regular basis at the governmental, diplomatic, and departmental levels.

As Hero Arkadag noted, the visit of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov to Turkmenistan in June 2021 gave a serious impetus to cooperation, during which key agreements on partnership in various fields were reached. These agreements are being implemented, which makes a great contribution to the economic development of both states, and also influences the course of regional processes.

Speaking about the great potential of bilateral cooperation, the interlocutors focused on the need to implement it in the interests of both countries, as well as the development of the entire region.

Gurbanguly Bedymuhamedov invited the President of Kyrgyzstan to the upcoming Forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust, expressing confidence that Sadyr Japarov's personal participation will be an important contribution to its successful implementation.

Sadyr Japarov, in turn, invited the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to visit Kyrgyzstan at any convenient time.

A telephone conversation between the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan and the President of Kyrgyzstan took place on Wednesday, January 29, during which the parties had an interested exchange of views on a number of important issues of bilateral cooperation.
