The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded the jubilee medal «Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 yyllygyna» and a commemorative set dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy.

The corresponding Decree was signed by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov on December 10.  

As noted in the document, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was awarded this medal, «considering the merits in the implementation of program reforms, strengthening the cultural and humanitarian ties of Turkmenistan with world countries and international organizations, as well as a significant contribution to the promotion of cultural diplomacy, scientific substantiation and revival of the spiritual and material values of the Turkmen people.» 

In addition, the jubilee medal «Magtymguly Pyragynyň 300 ýyllygyna» and a commemorative set dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet and philosopher Makhtumkuli Fragi were also awarded to members of the council of elders at the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation.
