TAPI as a bridge for infrastructure development and strengthening ties between countries

The CEO of the Pakistani company Frontier Works Organization (FWO) Abdul Sami emphasized the importance of the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) project not only as a strategic pipeline project, but also as an important mechanism for strengthening ties between countries and unlocking the potential of Central Asia.
He said this while speaking at the International Conference “International Transport and Transit Corridors: Connectivity and Development – 2024” (ITTC-2024), held in Ashgabat on November 26-27, timed to coincide with World Sustainable Transport Day.
Abdul Sami also noted that TAPI represents a unique opportunity for Turkmenistan to share its natural resources through Afghanistan, opening up new prospects for cooperation in the region.
"This project is of great importance for the development of road and transport infrastructure. We see it as a way to improve connectivity not only with Turkmenistan but also with other countries in the region. This is an important step towards the development of the economies of all participating countries, and we, as a company, would also like to contribute to this process," Abdul Sami said.
