Turkmenistan's GDP growth rate for ten months amounted to 6.3%. This was stated by Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Hojamyrat Geldimyradov, reporting on macroeconomic indicators for ten months of this year at a government meeting held last Friday.
The Vice-Chairman noted that comprehensive measures were taken in January-October aimed at ensuring the stable development of all sectors of the economy and regions, maintaining a sustainable GDP growth rate, which amounted to 6.3%.
It was also noted that this indicator in the industrial sector reached 2.5%, construction – 10.9%, transport and communications complex – 6.7%, trade – 9%, agriculture – 5.3%, services – 8.6%. In general, the volume of manufactured products increased by 11.8% compared to the same period in 2023.
The Vice-Chairman also reported that the revenue side of the country's State Budget for ten months was executed at the level of 102.8%, and the expenditure side – 97.7%. According to him, the size of wages in large and medium-sized enterprises increased by 10.5% compared to the same period in 2023. Wages, pensions, state benefits and student scholarships were fully financed.
The volume of capital investments aimed at economic development from all sources of financing increased by 25.2% compared to the same period in 2023.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan emphasized that special attention should be paid to the effective growth of all sectors of the economy and the sustainable development of the regions. Noting the need for further implementation of reforms aimed at improving the social and living standards of the population, the head of state instructed the Vice-Chairman to take appropriate measures to ensure the rational development of capital investments.
Addressing the participants of the meeting, Serdar Berdimuhamedov stated that the results of the work carried out over ten months demonstrate the successful development of the country.
