The oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan was presented at the ADIPEC exhibition (Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference), which was held in Abu Dhabi from November 4 to 7 this year. ADIPEC is one of the world's largest platforms in the oil and gas industry, annually bringing together tens of thousands of leading experts, leaders and representatives of the largest energy companies from around the world.
The Turkmen stand was dedicated to large-scale investment projects and achievements in the field of oil and gas, which aroused wide interest among representatives of international oil and gas companies. The delegation of Turkmenistan to ADIPEC-2024 was headed by Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the country B. Amanov, who oversees the oil and gas sector, and also included the State Minister of Turkmenistan - Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmengas" M. Babayev and Chairman of the State Concern "Turkmennebit" G. Agajanov.
Turkmen oil and gas companies demonstrated the country's achievements in the field of production, processing and export of hydrocarbons to world markets and their important role not only in the economy of Turkmenistan, but also beyond its borders.
During the event, representatives of the Turkmen delegation held meetings with the heads of Dragon Oil , ADNOC, Halliburton , Petronas, which indicates a high interest in cooperation with Turkmenistan. Discussions concerned the exchange of technologies, investment prospects and partnership projects, including participation in regional and international energy initiatives.
The stand of Turkmenistan was visited by more than 10 thousand representatives of international energy companies. Visitors were able to watch videos demonstrating modern technologies used in the Turkmen oil and gas industry, as well as the country's wealth of natural resources and its energy potential.
The Turkmen delegation actively participated in the ADIPEC-2024 conference, where sessions discussed topics such as decarbonization of operations at all levels of production, transportation and processing, as well as the role of artificial intelligence in supporting the energy transition.
As part of the business program, the delegation of Turkmenistan held presentations on the achievements of our country in the oil and gas industry, especially in the areas of sustainable development and the introduction of innovative technologies. Particular attention was paid to projects for the export of Turkmen natural gas to world markets, as well as initiatives aimed at attracting foreign investment.
One of the key topics of discussion was the TAPI (Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India) gas pipeline project, which aims to ensure stable supplies of Turkmen gas to South Asian countries and is of strategic importance for the region. The presentation of TAPI generated considerable interest among the participants, emphasizing the role of Turkmenistan as an important player in the international energy system.
Foreign investors were presented with investment opportunities in offshore blocks 11, 12, 16, 21 and 23, as well as projects to optimize production at mature fields, projects to develop the Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries and the Seydi Oil Refinery, aimed at introducing new technologies and improving the quality and competitiveness of manufactured products.
Particular interest in joint projects with the Turkmen side was caused by current trends in the energy transition, where special attention is paid to alternative energy and sustainable development of energy systems, as well as the role of natural gas as a key environmentally friendly transitional energy source.
The ADIPEC-2024 exhibition, organized by ADNOC, became an important platform for Turkmenistan to strengthen its position in the global market, demonstrating its commitment to innovation and openness to foreign partners. The country's oil and gas sector's commitment to environmental aspects of field development was also emphasized.
Overall, the participation of the Turkmen delegation at ADIPEC-2024 was an important step in strengthening Turkmenistan's image as a major player in the global energy market. The event provided our country with an opportunity to showcase the achievements of the energy sector, present ambitious projects and establish mutually beneficial relations with leading global companies.
