International Oil and Gas Forum "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2024" has started its work in Ashgabat

Today, October 23, the XXIX International Exhibition and Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2024" (OGT-2024) has started its work in the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The organizers of the large-scale industry forum are the State Concerns "Turkmengas", "Turkmennebit", the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the State Corporation "Turkmengeology".
In the first half of the day, the opening of the International Industry Exhibition took place, which brought together government representatives, heads of relevant departments, heads of diplomatic missions, international organizations and leading oil and gas companies.
During the ceremony, a welcoming address by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was read out, in which the head of state emphasized the importance of the forum for demonstrating the strategy for the development of the Turkmen fuel and energy complex and the introduction of modern technologies taking into account environmental safety.
The OGT-2024 exhibition presents the best achievements of the domestic and global oil and gas industry, supplemented by new ideas and functions, in accordance with modern trends in the development of the industry.
The exhibition covers all aspects of the industry: from exploration and production to transportation and storage of hydrocarbons. Particular attention is paid to offshore projects in the Caspian Sea and the development of renewable energy sources. Among the main participants of the exhibition are leading state-owned companies of Turkmenistan and dozens of private enterprises operating in the fuel and energy complex of the country.
In the afternoon, the International Conference "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2024" began its work, during which global trends in the development of energy markets, opportunities for cooperation and attracting foreign investment for the development of new fields will be discussed.
The conference and exhibition are attended by senior management and representatives of both state organizations of Turkmenistan and leading international oil and gas companies, as well as major international financial institutions.
The focus of OGT 2024 is the richest resource potential of Turkmenistan, which is the largest player in the oil and gas market of Asia, ranking fourth in the world in proven natural gas reserves after Russia, Iran and Qatar. The key role in the development of the energy sector of Turkmenistan is played by the State Concerns "Turkmengas" and "Turkmennebit".
The international forum that has started will play a significant role in the context of the exchange of experience and opinions between domestic specialists and foreign partners, and will allow for the establishment of broad cooperation in the future.
