The completion of the preparation of documents for the implementation of major projects in the energy sector was discussed in Islamabad by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif, the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan reports.

At the meeting, special attention was paid to the need to intensify joint actions to implement large-scale and long-term international economic projects in which both countries are participants.

In particular, the relevance of finalizing the work on the preparation of bilateral documents concerning the practical implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline projects, and the high-voltage power transmission line along the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan (TAP) route was emphasized, the Foreign Ministry notes.

The importance of joint activities in the transport and logistics sector was also noted, where the Turkmen side currently cooperates with large Pakistani companies, among which the National Logistics Corporation (NLC) occupies a special place, a partnership with which will significantly increase the volume of transportation along the China-Pakistan-Afghanistan-Turkmenistan route with access to the Central Asian and Caspian regions.
