In the energy sector, Turkmenistan advocates for expanding the volumes and geography of energy supplies across the CIS and beyond. This was stated by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, speaking on October 8 at a meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State in Moscow.

The speech of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was published in the central media of our country.

"In the energy sector, Turkmenistan is in favor of expanding the volumes and geography of energy supplies across the CIS and beyond. This concerns both raw material supplies and electricity," said Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The head of Turkmenistan also said that Ashgabat considers “the creation of conditions in the CIS for the functioning of a ‘green’ economy, the formation of economic and production clusters based on low-carbon energy” as “a very important area of our cooperation.”

“This is a promising task, but we need to start implementing it now, using the serious scientific and technological potential that exists in our countries, creating conditions for joint research and practical cooperation,” noted the President of Turkmenistan.
