The Exhibition of Economic Achievements of Turkmenistan, dedicated to the 33rd anniversary of the country's independence, opened in the capital of Turkmenistan on September 19. The large-scale forum, organized by the Trade and Industrial Council, was held next to the Garagum hotel complex.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized in his welcoming address that the exhibition clearly demonstrates the successes of the national economy and the dynamics of the country's growth over the years of sovereign development. The head of state noted that the main goal of state policy is to achieve sustainable development of the national economy, expand market reforms and improve the standard of living of the population.

The exhibition presents industry expositions reflecting the process of modernization and diversification of all sectors of the national economy. Particular attention is paid to the implementation of long-term programs, rational use of natural resources, expansion of import-substituting and export-oriented production, as well as the introduction of innovations and digital technologies.

The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by members of the Government, heads of the Mejlis, representatives of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and departments, hyakimliks of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag and regions, heads and representatives of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, public associations, business circles of our country, and the media. The exhibition area featured expositions reflecting the large-scale process of modernization and diversification of all sectors of the national economy, successfully implemented within the framework of state programs and innovative projects. The pavilions of the State Concerns «Turkmengas», «Turkmennebit», «Turkmenchemistry», the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, and the State Corporation «Turkmengeology» presented the dynamics of growth of basic segments of the economy using demonstration maps and panels. This is a rapidly developing infrastructure, the scale of developed and currently developed oil and gas fields, current directions and planned routes for the export of «blue fuel», underground storehouses of other minerals and minerals, as well as a network of power lines laid for thousands of kilometers throughout the country.

In the development of natural resources, our country demonstrates their rational use, care for the environment, the implementation of important international initiatives on energy security in the region and the world. Evidence of this are the industrial facilities being commissioned, where special attention is paid to compliance with environmental standards.

The stable economic and political situation in Turkmenistan, as well as the corresponding legislative framework, are the main factors in its growing attractiveness for foreign investors. Thus, one of the world's largest gas fields, «Galkynysh», is currently being developed with a focus on long-term partnership, in particular, with the aim of providing natural gas to the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI). In this context, it should be noted that on September 11 of this year, with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the foundation stone was laid for the Serhetabat-Herat section, which is an important stage in the implementation of the TAPI project, and the Serhetabat-Herat fiber-optic communication line, called «Arkadagyň ak ýoly», as well as the «Shatlyk-1» gas compressor station in the Mary velayat. The implementation of these projects will have a positive impact on the socio-economic development of not only the participating countries, but also the region as a whole.

Domestic exhibitors also demonstrated their developments in the field of renewable energy production – solar panels and wind generators.

The Exhibition of Economic Achievements of Turkmenistan will close on September 21.
