On May 31, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, at which topical issues in the life of the country were discussed.

During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the state of affairs in the supervised fuel and energy sector, in particular, on the work carried out by the State Concern “Turkmengas” at the country’s fields.

As reported, as part of the development of the Galkynysh gas field, the State Concern «Turkmengas» is carrying out the necessary work at infrastructure facilities, including equipping a number of wells with appropriate equipment.

It is the uninterrupted provision of these facilities with appropriate material and technical means that currently contributes to increasing their productivity.

After listening to the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted the importance of further increasing the volume of natural gas production in the country in order to ensure a reliable supply of “blue fuel” to domestic and foreign consumers.  In this context, the head of Turkmenistan gave the Vice-Chairman instructions related to the drilling of new gas wells and their full integration into production.
