President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots on the Constitution and National Flag Day of Turkmenistan, which is celebrated in the country on May 18.
“I sincerely congratulate you on the Day of the Constitution and State Flag of Turkmenistan! This significant date personifies the unity and integrity of the nation, reflects its idea of a democratic, legal and secular state, a fair civil society,” said the President’s address, published in the central media of our country.
“The Constitution of independent neutral Turkmenistan is a document that defines the foundations of the social and state system, the ancient sacred concepts of the Motherland, people and state, the principles of neutrality, the status of which is delegated by the world community at the level of the United Nations,” the head of state noted.
The President also emphasized that “Turkmenistan’s foreign policy strategy to maintain global peace, security and stability is also determined by the norms of the Constitution of our state”.
The State Flag is an invaluable asset that personifies our independence and neutrality, our great past, happy present and bright future, our honor and dignity,” Serdar Berdimuhamedov said.
“To commemorate the Day of the Constitution and the State Flag of Turkmenistan, scientific and practical conferences, music and song events will be held.
