Under this title, a new book was recently published as a teaching aid for readers and students, which also became an excellent gift for workers of the oil and gas complex.

The work was prepared for publication by an author of many scientific works, including those related to the oil and gas industry, Candidate of Law A.K. Abdullayev and an expert on international oil and gas projects, an aspirant for the scientific degree of Candidate of Technology G.V. Agajanov.

The new book, which will arouse great interest among the readership, is intended for students of higher educational institutions and all those who are studying jurisprudence, international law and international relations at the preparatory stage. From this point of view, the book is distinguished by its enormous volume of information, deep ideas and breadth of content. It is worth noting that the new publication consistently answers many questions related to energy diplomacy, which is the main topic of our time, and helps to better understand the policy of diplomacy, pursued by Turkmenistan at the international level, and the conception of diplomacy in international relations around the world.

The book consists of six chapters: energy diplomacy; energy security, energy as an object of energy diplomacy and security; levels of energy diplomacy; energy diplomacy of importing and exporting countries; features of Turkmenistan’s energy diplomacy to ensure energy security at the global level and in the region; and environmental problems of ensuring energy security.

The textbook provides a comprehensive understanding of energy diplomacy as part of general diplomacy. It is based on the initiatives, principles and goals in the field of energy diplomacy and security of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Hero-Arkadag and the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, aimed at the benefit of the people of Turkmenistan. At the present stage of the development of international general diplomacy, energy diplomacy occupies a special place.

The purpose and objectives of the book are to instill in Turkmen youth, including students, the skill to think independently, to find and make decisions on the main problems that may arise along the path of life. It should be noted that energy diplomacy is a component of economic diplomacy.

This textbook covers general concepts such as energy diplomacy, energy security, levels of energy diplomacy and strategies of oil and gas states. The book highlights important issues related to the country's energy resources, their technical and economic aspects, classification, market relations of energy resources and modern energy security.

Macroeconomic and microeconomic conditions, economic and investment issues are reflected in the new publication, and tables are also provided with which one can analyze which country takes leading positions in certain areas. These include tables showing the countries with the largest oil resources, the largest oil producing countries in the world, the largest oil consuming countries, the largest gas producing countries in the world, the 20 countries with the largest and proven natural gas resources, exporting countries and separately oil exporters.

From this point of view, the book is of great benefit for students of oil and gas universities and those who specialize in the field of international law, international relations and diplomacy. A draft syllabus developed by the authors for the course “Energy Diplomacy and Energy Resources” is included as a recommendation.

In general, the authors of this textbook are confident that students, regardless of the direction and specialty being taught, will be able to improve their knowledge and broaden their horizons.
