The goal of TEIF 2024 is to expand opportunities for attracting foreign direct investment in all areas of the oil and gas, energy, construction, transport and communications sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
The participation of Turkmen companies and foreign investors will allow us to establish a dialogue to attract investment into the economy of Turkmenistan and unlock the investment potential of the country’s key industries. Investors will be presented with new projects in the field of production, processing and transportation of oil and gas, renewable energy, energy, construction and transport and communications sectors.
The golden partner of TEIF 2024 is the Malaysian oil and gas company PETRONAS, represented in Turkmenistan through its subsidiary PETRONAS Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd.
This company has been operating in Turkmenistan for more than twenty years – since the signing of the Production Sharing Agreement in the contract area Block 1 in 1996. After the start of industrial production of oil at the Diyarbakir field in 2009 and natural gas at the Magtymguly field in 2011, the company established itself as one of the largest producers of oil, condensate and gas suppliers in the country.
PETRONAS is a dynamically developing international energy group represented in more than 100 countries. The company produces and supplies energy and solutions that advance societies.
PETRONAS Charigali (Turkmenistan) celebrated its 1000th oil shipment, demonstrating the company's long-term presence in Turkmenistan and its commitment to ensuring the country's energy security.
In line with Turkmenistan's goal of reducing carbon emissions by 2030, PETRONAS continues to support the country in the fight against climate change by implementing low-carbon and climate-resilient solutions. This complements the company's own goal of achieving net-zero CO2 emissions by 2050. In addition, PETRONAS is actively helping Turkmenistan develop and diversify its energy portfolio to meet international energy demand.
