In honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and philosopher of the East Magtymguly Fragi, a creative meeting was held at the Palace of Culture in the village of Shatlyk, Sakarchaga etrap, Mary region.  It was attended by employees of organizations and enterprises of the city’s gas system, representatives of the older generation, as well as young people.

 Those who performed at the song and music celebration emphasized the greatness of Fraga’s genius, who embodied the centuries-old wisdom of the Turkmen people, the beauty of their poetic language, and through their creativity preached values close to every person, regardless of nationality and origin.  Magtymguly’s work brought world fame to Turkmen literature, becoming a significant contribution to the poetic treasury of humanity, and his humanistic views, embodied in poetry, had a great influence not only on the lives of the Turkmen contemporaries of the poet, but also on other peoples of the East.

 The participants of the creative meeting proudly noted that Magtymguly acts today, as centuries ago, as a consolidating force, uniting the peoples of the world with the spirit of high poetry, containing a hymn to universal spiritual values.

 Centuries later, the immortal poems of the classical poet Magtymguly Fragi, which became the canon of morality for our people and all humanity, continue to shine like bright stars, illuminating the distant horizons of the future of all humanity.

 The event dedicated to the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly’s birth was given special solemnity by the reading of the poet’s poems, calling people to cohesion and unity, moral purity and patriotism.

 During the meeting, young talents trying their hand at poetry read their poems dedicated to the life and work of Fragi, as well as poems glorifying the successes and achievements of our fatherland under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan.  Also, artists performed song numbers written to the poems of Magtymguly Fragi.
