At the government meeting, the results of the work of the fuel and energy complex of Turkmenistan were summed up for two months of 2024

On March 1, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via the digital system, at which the results of the work of economic sectors for two months of 2024 were summed up, relevant reports were heard, and priority tasks of the country’s socio-economic development were discussed.

 During the meeting, Vice-Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov reported on the results of work in the industry under his supervision for January–February 2024.8

 It was reported that in two months from the beginning of this year, the plan for the production of oil and gas condensate was fulfilled by 100.2 percent, in particular, by the State Concern “Turkmennebit” – at the level of 102.4 percent.  Information was given about the implementation of the plan for oil refining at the State Concern’s oil refineries at the level of 101.9 percent.

 During the period under review, the plan for the production of gasoline was fulfilled by 101.8 percent, diesel fuel by 100.4 percent, and lubricating oils by 109 percent.  The growth rate of “blue fuel” exports compared to the same period last year amounted to 100.5 percent.

 It was also reported on the technical and economic indicators achieved in the production of polypropylene, liquefied gas, and the production of natural and associated gas.

 After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that in order to ensure the operation of oil refineries at full capacity, it is necessary to take comprehensive measures to increase hydrocarbon production.

 In this regard, focusing on the importance of active implementation of modern technologies in the industry, the head of state addressed the Vice-Chairman with relevant instructions.
