Turkmenistan’s oil and gas industry workers are confidently increasing production rates, fulfilling the objectives set by the President at the extended sitting of the Cabinet of Ministers to worthily celebrate the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence, the Neytralny Turkmenistan Newspaper reports.
Crews working at Goturdepe, one of the country’s oldest and richest fields, have achieved new successes. Drillers from the Goturdepe Drilling Directorate of the Nebitgazburawlaýyş Trust, part of the Türkmennebit State Corporation, successfully completed the first half of the year, commissioning five new productive wells.
Although Goturdepe has been in development since the early 1970s, the field is undergoing a major modernisation phase. Advanced equipment, modern technologies and innovations from the Nebitgazylmytaslama Institute are being actively introduced into production.
Gas injection has become one of the key methods for intensifying production. Thanks to the Goturdepe gas compressor station, over 500 wells are currently in operation, using this method. Field workers from the Goturdepenebit OGPD and mobile control teams from Nebitgazdüýpliabatlaýyş Directorate ensure continuous flow rate monitoring and timely repairs, completely eliminating technical downtime.
The rational use of the depths and the extension of the lifespan of operating wells at Goturdepe make it possible not only to maintain high production levels but also to directly contribute to strengthening Turkmenistan’s export potential and energy independence.
